I have both a Halloween costume and a date for the HeliX event.

Hmm.

This is starting to look suspiciously like me having fun. Whatever shall I do?

And now I need help in finding an appropiately slinky dress. One that goes with a stethoscope, since the sight of me out of scrubs will undoubtaby result in multiple heart attacks...

Cece, how's Thursday for that presentation in Health and Wellness? I'm planning to hit the Anatomy class on Friday.

Whatever my erstwhile roommate might be saying, I am _not_ drunk. Pleasantly buzzed, yes, but drunk? Takes more than four or five beers to do that, even on an empty stomach.

However, I do appreciate the naptime. Naps are important, I think. As is food. Oh Lorna, goddess of all things culinary? You didn't happen to have some dinner left over, did you? I crave real food, as opposed to my frozen instant friends.

Moving?

Good God, all those books of mine... Um, help?
x_bartlet: (emergency!)
Now there's been official notification, and I'm not running around like a mad thing any more, I can talk about my day. Except I'm exhausted, and most of it involves sutures and concussions and the like, which only Cecilia, Hank and I find that riveting. But everyone - or almost everyone - is safe and sound and recovering. Moira's asleep for the moment, after I pretty much forced her to make the attempt, and Amanda helped with one of those strange-smelling poitions of hers.

As for Nathan... well, I'll be saying a rosary or ten before I sleep tonight. Rahne, Marie-Ange, Angelo, if you're up for a trip to the church to light a candle for him, I'm planning on driving over tomorrow morning around ten-ish.

Thanks to all our helpers in the medlab today. You did good work, team, and I'm proud of all of you.

And after I'd made such a good start, too.

Things have been busier than usual in th world of the Doctors Three, but now things are calming down, I may just manage to make good that promise of more visible Madelyn Bartlet. Once I'm done putting Moira through the wringer, medically-speaking.

Oh, and welcome Cecilia. It's good to see another face in the medlab occasionally. We'll have to meet up and discuss continuing your studies, at least so your brain doesn't turn to mush.
x_bartlet: (emergency!)
Next time Nathan is in the medlab, we should put a guard on him, seeing how he likes to disregard medical advice and check himself out. You and I, Mr Dayspring, should talk, only I'm fairly sure Moira has already done the lecturing thing.

Just when you think the state of the world can't get possibly any worse... All those people; the confirmed death toll's already reached the twenties. It's just... unbelievable. What kind of people would do this? At a college?

And nothing to do but wait. I always hate this part.

Hmm.

My pen light seems to have gone missing. Which is odd, since I always put it on top of my bureau when it's not in my labcoat pocket... Mr Beaubier, you mentioned Delphine likes shiny objects? You couldn't check her latest stash for it, could you? It'd be a good chance to introduce myself, any way. *smiles*

...that it's apparently summer outside. Time flies when you're patching up students and teachers.

I've also been informed that I'm getting pasty and out of shape (thanks, Mom!), and that will not do. So, if you see someone wandering around blinking in the sunshine and apparently not sure how to cope with a world outside the medlab, someone steer me in the direction of something recreational and fun?

Not that research isn't fun. Never fear, Hank, Moira, I haven't abandoned you completely. Actually, there's a thought - how about we mess with everyone's heads by actually being outside and not in lab coats? Soiree by the pool sound good, my esteemed colleagues?

And I have been spending too much time in the lab - I sound like Hank.
x_bartlet: (another day older)
That's it. Hank keeps joking about it, but I swear, none of you are even allowed to think about bad things happening without an MD standing within a five-foot radius.

Thank you, Moira, for the call for help. I swear, I haven't seen this many people in the operating theatre since...the last time this happened. Last month. Bloody hell.
x_bartlet: (Default)
Not even the Bureau got itself into hot water this many times in a period of nine months. Who'd we piss off now?

I've no time for this. If anyone needs me, I'll be in the operating theater. My MD's coming in useful again, who'd have thought?
x_bartlet: (queen of paperwork)
As usual, I am having Saturday office hours from six AM to about eleven AM. I will be around this afternoon, too, in the office and on this communication system. If any students in Biology have questions about the upcoming combined topic test, you are more than welcome to drop in, and I recommend that my FMs come by to discuss the work that you've done as preparation for the end-of-term practical.

As a bonus, this morning's visitors will get, as a reward for their diligence/distracting me from my journal reading, Krispy Kreme donuts from the place in town. I have one dozen of them in front of me, and they will go first come, only served. Glazed and original only; bring your own coffee; I will not be held responsible for what Ororo does to you.
